How to read this page

What's a "pattern"? A short label for which way a stock's price has been leaning lately, worked out from its trend and momentum. It describes the recent past โ€” it is not a guarantee about what happens next.

RSI, in one line: a 0โ€“100 score for how hard a stock has been bought or sold lately. Under 30 = beaten down; over 70 = overheated.

"Anticipated high," in one line: today's price plus the amount this stock typically swings in a day (its ATR). That gives a rough level it could reach within about a week if the pattern plays out โ€” an estimate, not a prediction.

Jump-off points, in one line: support is the recent floor where buyers stepped in (the bounce-off point); resistance is the recent ceiling โ€” a close above it is the breakout "jump-off" point.

The five patterns, in plain words

Likely jump-off points โ€” what they mean

๐ŸŸฆ Bounce-off support

The stock's 20-day low (support_20d) โ€” the lowest price of the last 20 trading days. It's the level price has recently bounced up from. If price falls back to it and holds, that's the classic bounce zone; if it closes below it, the setup weakens.

๐ŸŸฉ Breakout resistance

The stock's 20-day high (resistance_20d) โ€” the highest price of the last 20 trading days. A close above this level is the breakout / jump point: price clearing its recent ceiling. The table shows how far (%) each close sits from both levels.

Each row also shows the expected 1-week range โ€” close ยฑ ATR(14), a volatility band, not a target. Prices can and do move outside it, especially on earnings or news.

โš  Reliability warning

For a small number of tickers (18 of 1,000) ATR% is above 50% โ€” mostly sub-$1 speculative names at the top of the volume list, where historical prices include unadjusted splits. For those, the expected 1-week range is unreliable (it can even dip below $0); use their 20-day support / resistance instead, and treat even that with caution. Rows affected are flagged in the detail view. Three tickers had no usable price history, so their ranges are shown as n/a rather than invented.
